What Are Thoughts Regarding Going Through Therapy For Osteopenia.

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bloomington, IN

I have a parathyroid that had an incredible work ethic. One of it's nodules decided to work overtime and did a dang fine job of draining my skeletal system of bone density. This was like 10 to 15 years go and I underwent surgery to remove the nodule with the adenoma.

My endocrinologist wanted to put me on therapy to strengthen my skeletal system. I have forgotten the name of the medicine but remember that it was a black label medicine. I passed since I am male and with Testosterone was… read more

I Am Wondering About Sleep/insomia That Anyone Has Dealt With. I'm A Morning Person Up By 5 AM And Bed By 9 PM But Awake All Night Now

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Statesboro, GA

I hardly sleep at night and may fall asleep by 4 am but closer to 6 am most nights. I also have jerking that disturbs my wife which makes me stay on the sofa. The jerking/muscle spasms happen nightly, cause me to jerk from the legs to the head, and sure anxiety about it is in my thoughts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Does anyone else have blurry eyesight? After the chemotherapy for my sct my eyes are so blurry and I can’t see to read small print. I have to use a magnifying glass. I used to read a lot but now not so much. I use my iPad because I can enlarge the print. My eye doctor says it is dry eye.

The clono seq test is the best to determine status of mm but how often can we request this test be done or is it only accompanied by a bone marrow biopsy? How often can a bone marrow biopsy be done?

What tests can be done in between bone marrow biopsies to see status of the mm?

Revlimid

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Oceanside, CA

Just was diagnosed on Wednesday and they are going to start Velcade, Revlimid and Decadron next week. I was reading that you must take a blood thinner with the Revlimid. Oncologist hematologist recommended a baby aspirin. Is this what everyone else is taking with Revlimid to prevent blood clots. Or are you taking something stronger? The risk of blood clots makes me nervous.
