I Am Wondering About Sleep/insomia That Anyone Has Dealt With. I'm A Morning Person Up By 5 AM And Bed By 9 PM But Awake All Night Now

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I hardly sleep at night and may fall asleep by 4 am but closer to 6 am most nights. I also have jerking that disturbs my wife which makes me stay on the sofa. The jerking/muscle spasms happen nightly, cause me to jerk from the legs to the head, and sure anxiety about it is in my thoughts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I also take the 1000mg calcium daily (Tums), but if I skip the banana for a day, the nighttime leg cramps return.

.25mg Xanax is the only thing that works for me.

I take lorazapan (ativan) on Dex days. It is the only thing I have found to offset the Dex and Prednisone that I take with IVIG.

Tim,
I had that. By taking daily 1,000 mg of calcium with magnesium, D3 & K2, it went away. Eat a banana too. Avoid caffeinated and carbonated beverages. Avoid salty foods.

Ask about your magnesium levels. Are you on dex?
