I take Zyrtec daily - recommended by my dermatologist for my very itchy skin from MM treatment.

It helps greatly. When I ran out, it got bad quickly again and went away after a few days of taking it again

Walgreens brand for a year’s supply (360 small pills) is very reasonably priced

Hi DonnaCarey, Yes I had a reaction but it did not last long. I like the answers from the other members, they seem very helpful. Hope it goes away as it does not sound like much fun.

Yeah you know your body better than anyone so sadly sometimes you have too push the Dr. until they listen too you.

When Ed was on Revlimid, he started itching, rash was only visable for a couple of days. When he spoke to his oncologist, of course the rash and itching had stopped. When he saw The NP ( who told us she knew everything about MM), she said go to your reg. doctor. Saw someone in the practice, told him it couldn't be bad, they couldn't 'see' anything. Finally got to see his own doctor; nothing....no reason for the itching. We went to a dermatologist, she looked up his meds.........the rash and itching was likely because of the build up of Revlimid in his system. Within 5 minutes, she had an answer for us. He wasn't pooh poohed and shoved out the door. She spoke to the oncologist, he lowered Ed's dose of Rev. By that time over 5 months the itching was so bad, they took him off Rev. Ask if the itching could be a side effect off meds. We've learned to read every word of precautions and not to always trust someone else's knowledge. Took us a long time and we still have to trust and still feel we are in the dark, most of the time.
