Good Afternoon, I Have SMM & I Had A Telemed With My PA, She Replaced The Hematologist Doctor That Left The Practice.
My last M-Spike was .81 & when I started a year ago it was .95, so the PA told me that I am stable & I will continue to get bloodwork every 3 months & telemed visits. At the 2 year mark I probably will get bloodwork at every 6 months unless and big changes in my bloodwork. No BMB or MRI or Pet scan unless changes in my bloodwork. My BMB was between 5-40% in my pelvis. Should I feel good that I'm stable or should I feel that I need a MM specialist? Thanks! Merry Christmas & Happy Healthy New… read more
John,
If you don’t have high risk cytogenetics, then a SCT might not make sense. It will wipe out your whole immune system. I’m drinking smoothies with apple cider juice, kale, celery and frozen strawberries. My diet is helping me not progress and my M spike went down. Have you read Dr Brandy’s book “Beat Back Cancer Naturally.”

My husband had SMM for years and no one told him there are treatments avail at that level that can stop it from becoming full on MM! Now he has 60% in his bone marrow and they want him to have chemo. But we are researching going holistic yet may have to do chemo! So ask doctors or go online and ask about what can be done now. Don’t just wait and be stunned like we were. Just trying to send hope!
Hi John180 - Sounds like a good plan! 👍 Continue to keep moving forward with your positive attitude. ❤️🫠
John,
If she Specializes in MM then it may be okay temporarily. You always need a MM Specialist whether they are a Hematologist or an Oncologist. They will work with your present doctor or PA in this case. You don’t have to live near one. Ask for a referral. I self referred.
Paula
I looked up her credentials she is a PA-C-Medical Oncologist
