I Thought Since I Had Breast Cancer 2 Times, Maybe It Is Coming From That Because Of The Cells Sometimes Escape. I Still Don't No.

MM can actually start as a teen. One small chromosome change and as you grow older, another defect on one cell. MM has been found in mummies so it's not a new disease. It happens. Detection is better in 2024 with MGUS and SMM so it is being caught earlier.

Breast cancer and myeloma are not even the same cells. If myeloma becomes extramedulary ( outside the bone marrow) and causes a plasmacytoma (clump of cells) in the breast, it is still myeloma. Not breast cancer.

When I was diagnosis with MM- one of the scans found a small lump in my right breast. A biopsy was done & it was a different cancer. Stage 1 so I just take a chemo pill once a day & it is shrinking.

Hi Cheryl and Amelia thanks for this eye opening information, every since i was diagnoised in Feb. 2024 , my Cancer doctor told me that sometime cancer cells hide themselves and other types of cancer can come forth when your immune system becomes weak.
