Same happened to my husband. He was put on TALVY treatment in Feb. Found out today that lambda light chain numbers are on the rise again. His doctor recommended clinical trials. But remember...it's different for everyone. Your team should have answers just for you. I wish you the best.

I had Car-T treatment in 11/23. The most difficult thing was getting my body strong enough to receive the Car-T cells. The procedure itself was an infusion lasting a couple hours I think. The after effects were minimal. I was just weak from being hospitalized on and off for 3months The good news is that there is currently no evidence of any myeloma cells (5/28/24). I’m still trying to regain body strength but outside of that things are looking good (after 15 years since diagnosis). Forever thankful to God and my medical team!…Stay hopeful, strong and focused!
Blessings to you.

It's great to hear that you achieved remission after your CAR-T cell therapy. However, with your Kappa Light Chain numbers climbing, it's important to discuss this with your hematologist-oncologist. They can assess your current health status and myeloma stage to recommend the next steps. Options may include additional treatments or modifications to your current regimen, depending on your overall health and treatment history. Always ensure to have a detailed discussion about the potential benefits and risks of any new treatment options.
