I have read that too. Certain conditions can cause both light chains to be elevated. Usually with myeloma, one or the other is elevated.

Everybody has light chains. Balance or K/L Ratio is key.

I had read that if both kappa and lamba were high that it was something other than cancer going on in your body but I am no doctor.

Cheryl, Paula is right. You will want to go to a center that does bone marrow biopsy testing with flow cytometry. Emory also got my first bone marrow sample from Northside Atlanta hospital and sent it for MRD testing. Mrd also does cell sequencing so they can monitor how your myeloma changes over time. I don't understand it all. I just know a bone marrow biopsy is important.

Karen,
When I started taking supplements, my good numbers got better and my bad numbers went down. Check out Dr Brandy’s book.
