Terra, you better hold the Revlimid until you see your oncologist. Facial swelling isn't good. I don't see how you can keep taking high dose steriods for a long period of time. Not good for your bones and your immune system. Hopefully your doctor has some ideas. Sending big hugs 🙏💕

Yes. I just started 10 mg Rev for maintenance and had minor swelling that subsided after a few days. And a really bad itching rash all over that took 9 days to improve.. If your doctor allows it, try taking claritin. I also found a great help with using a full head migraine gel cap. I have two and put them in the fridge (not the freezer) and switched them out. Pulling a cold cap over my head and eyes helped the swelling a lot. Easy to find on Amazon.
I took Rev before as part of my initial VRD chemo 8 months ago. Back then, I was started on 25 mg and my head swelled up really bad. My eyes, face and even down my neck. It was bad enough my doctor reduced the Revlimid to 10mg and the side effect went away.

I was on dex the first time and it was not stopping the swelling. What does your oncologist think of this? Are you seeing a myeloma specialist? Its possible taking a break from revlimid will help and then reintroduce it. I've read of other's having that work. I would be a bit skeptical of treatment choices made by random ER physicians for our very complicated conditions. Dex depresses the immune system so its a two edged sword.
