Have Any Of You Taken Xprovio?
Better known as Selinexor.. I have not been on it but I do know someone who started a Clinical Trial at UCLA - Dr Schiller. before Selinexor was approved. After failing 5 drugs including Dara, Revlimid, Velcade, Ninlaro and Pomalyst his numbers kept climbing. After two months his numbers were the normal range. He did suffer side effects, fatigue and nausea. After trying several anti nausea meds and not having them help they have cut his dose of Selinexor in half, and his blood counts are still good, his appetite has returned and he is no longer nauseous, I have also attended a lecture on this drug by a nurse that represents the company that makes Love, Marcia
Xpovio (Selinexor Tablets) oral nuclear export inhibitor. It just got approved. New drug, New drug class. No I'm not on it, but I'm glad it's available.
I have been on Xpovio for almost two cycles. I unfortunately, have almost every side effect noted. The main ones are Extreme Fatigue, Low Blood Counts, Nausea, and Bloating. I am on a once a week oral for three weeks and off one week. My quality of life for four days a week are zero. I am in year 12 since my diagnosis, and My body tends to reject most treatment options, or responds for a month or two and then the markers start to rise. My ANC was so low at the end of the first cycle that I had to skip a week before I started cycle two.
Thank you Donna for explaining. I had heard it was available but I do not know anyone yet who is on it.
I started Xpovio end of sept now on cycle 3. Only side effect I have is hair thinning! Lots of strands every day. Very stressful. Reduced dose to start with cycle 4. No other s/e. Pomalyst lowered my ANC alot and got granix injection to elevate the level. Now on a lower dose of that too. I was on darafaspro, revlimid and dex combo for 4 1/2 years but kappa light chains increased and now the new treatment plan.
Is Anyone Using Selinexor (Xpovio), Pomalyst And Dex Combo? Any Side Effects?
Is There Someone Who Is On Xpovio?
Hello, I Started XPOVIO Yesterday. Has Anyone Tried This Medication?
