I got a blood transfusion about a week ago, and I'm feeling much better. I have been dealing with a sinus infection with an abcess along with thrush, which as been affecting my appetite. My doctor has given me antibiotics and I'm seeing my dentist on Thursday. It's been a rough two weeks for me.πŸ˜”πŸ₯ΊπŸ™πŸΌ

A big YES to @A MyMyelomaTeam Member's answer. We have gotten help from more than one of those organizations. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society can give you the names of other nonprofits that might be able to help.
It may come as a surprise to some that these big, bad drug companies sometimes provide assistance. My wife and I have been surprised at how much help is out there.

Hi Tonya, the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, the Healthwell Foundation, the Patient Advocate Foundation are a few of the nonprofit organizations that help blood cancer patients. I have also gotten copay assistance from the drug company Bristol Myers Squibb that makes Pomalyst. I don't know how old you are, but applying for government help like SSDI and or SSI might be an option. Hugs to youπŸ₯°

Is there a financial aid office at your cancer center? They can put you in touch with significant help. So sorry for you difficulties!

I be honest with you. It been so damn cold here in GA . For the next couple of months I will struggle to pay power bill. Now I’m debating if I want to stop my maintenance so I can work a few months to save some money.
