Apparently my insurance isn't that good or the hospital is changing a lot. So last year the hospital is trying to charge me $545.00. They didn't bill my insurance it shows however when I went into my insurance it shows that my insurance did pay them but they paid them for an office visit when it was a virtual visit. I am not sure what insurance you have but usually after you pay a certain amount they should cover the rest . I would contact the insurance company and then go to the leukemia cancer Site tr for help .
Also apply for financial assistance with the hospital Sometimes they will write it off depending on your income
When you are able to get Medicare get a supplement insurance as well Don’t rely on Medicare alone

I waited a long time to pay any of my bills the first year I was diagnosed. I just let the hospital, doctor's office and the insurance company hash it out. I paid my deductible. Also, no the virtual visit is not an office visit. The codes are different from the two. My doctor's office had virtual visits in the past and were covered at 100% however these ones are coded as office visits.
