I have completed four rounds of chemo and I always feel okay for the first day or two, then fatigue and a lack of appetite because tastes are metallic and different. Then, stomach/digestive issues probably due to not eating and not staying hydrated. After two weeks I usually am very weak and ready for the week off of the Revilid pill. I had enjoyed the week off which helps a lot both physically and mentally.
Unfortunately after this fourth round ( between Thanksgiving and Christmas) I became ill with Influenza A and basically lost all of the progress I had made in four months. Now I am recovering from the Flu and not sure how long that will take.
I was feeling really good about the progress I had made up to now. I really underestimated avoiding people and the chances of getting sick. šŸ˜Š

Iā€™m sure there will be side effects. Depends on the chemo how severe. Be prepared but donā€™t let it get to you. Stay strong and positive to beat this dread disease

Gosh itā€™s been so long ago 12-2022 but I do remember I was at stage 3 had lost so much weight back hurt so badly I was weak could barely walk pale anemic cause it took from end of July to Dec 2022 for doctors to finally find out what I had wrong and the last doctor oncologist in Lake Charles said we have to wait and see!
Finally December he decided to go forward with chemo claimed he couldnā€™t find mm cells it was nuts!!!
I began to feel increasingly better believe it or not although I was on 4 chemo drugs revlamid 28mg dexymethasone darzalex and velcade at max doses at that point so much so I really started feeling overdosed. That went on one year but I faltered taking revlamid many times throughout because doctor simply wouldnā€™t go lower on my dosage. My aunt said she noticed a definite improvement in how I was walking and getting around from the beginning of my diagnosis.

I underwent treatment in Kent I had 3 months of treatment it started off fine but then started to get water retention so my feet swelled then tingling in fingers, which I told my Dr about but they didn't change my treatment in the end I ended up weak and was not able to have SCT,so any side effects you experience don't be fobbed off like I was.

Hi Helena
Thanks for your reply. I am also going to be on Velcade in combination with some other medications.
It is interesting to know that you suffered from tiredness.
All the best for your future treatment šŸ™ xxxx
