Can MM Cause Painful Swelling Or Sores Inside Mouth?
Yogurt
Canker sores can also be caused by bacteria. Some studies have shown that Helicobacter pylori bacteria, which also causes inflammatory bowel disease, is responsible for canker sores. Yogurt is a natural probiotic. The good bacteria that are present in yogurt, like lactobacillus, help fight the canker causing bacteria. Eating 1 cup of yogurt every day can transfer good bacteria to your body and help treat canker sores. Moreover, yogurt has a cooling effect. It can instantly relieve pain by reducing inflammation of the canker sores.
Honey
Honey has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Just applying a drop of honey on your canker sores can instantly give you relief from pain. Honey is also effective for preventing secondary infections that may worsen your canker sores. You can apply honey to your canker sores after each meal. But please be mindful that you do not leave honey on your canker sores overnight, as this will affect the health of your teeth. It is recommended that you use unprocessed honey like Manuka honey to avail the healing properties of this natural remedy
Thank you. Almighty Bless!
Baking Soda Rinse
You can rinse your mouth with baking soda and lukewarm water to reduce inflammation and wash away the bacteria. Baking soda is alkaline in nature. It helps to restore pH levels in your mouth by neutralizing the acid produced by the acid-producing bacteria on your teeth and gums. Simply add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to 1 cup of lukewarm water. Mix it well for about 20 to 30 seconds. Take a sip, rinse and gargle your mouth with it and spit it out after 10 seconds. Continue until you have finished the solution. You can rinse your mouth thrice a day for rapid recovery.
