Hi Paula - From what I learnt through extensive reading of Case Studies (many Posted Links somewhere on this Forum), it was the creation of Butyrate in the colon that was a critical starting point.

Butyrate is created from Short Chain Fatty Acids which can come from Food and Supplements. Butyrate can reset IL-17. This is disrupted by active MM, causing bone destruction because our normal Osteo System is always breaking down and rebuilding our Bones. Bones are replaced around 10% per years - therefore, completely New in 10 years.

We have Osteoblasts to Create Bones and Osteoclasts to Teardown Bones.

Strontium Citrate was part of the solution but by itself, not the solution.

Revlimid and Dex killed off the Bone Tumor Cancer and the Pendulum Glucose Control + MegaPre helped to accelerate the production of Butyrate.

Then, since the Cancer was killed-off, the Minerals and Vitamins I had loaded up with provided the resources needed for the repair. My weekly Labs at Sept 23' documented this as well as the new Imaging that took place at that time.

From the Report I've created.

"Prior to treatment, I had been loading up on Vit D (moved from 38ng to 84ng - taking 15,000IU daily). Then plenty of Magnesium (400mg magnesium glycinate (+ 200mg magnesium citrate for constipation, as needed) ), Vit C (2000mg daily), Vit K2 (200mcg daily), Vit K (120mcg daily), Calcium Carbonate (1500mg - 2 TUMs daily), Strontium Citrate (680mg late at night - 2hrs away from any calcium intake).

The Proper Pre & Probiotics can create Butyrate in the colon. Butyrate is capable of restoring the proper balance of IL-17 activity that is normally disrupted by active MM. When these items are restored, then the osteoblasts activity is available to perform bone regeneration, provided adequate amount of Minerals and Vitamins are available.

The Pro and Pre Biotics that I used are: Pendulum Glucose Control - 2 pills daily - Probiotic Microbiome MegaPre - one scoop daily in 16oz water – Prebiotic."
+++++

Though all of the above is my conclusions, I've found plenty of Case Study Info and PubMed Articles that confirmed this to me as well as my Labs that were perfectly in-sync with this activity.

Harley,
Vitamin D3 is important, but so is Calcium & Magnesium, K2, Vitamins E & A. They all work together. I’ve been reading about Strontium. There is an article about taking melatonin, strontium, D3 & K2 to strengthen bones. This group of supplements is taken at night. @A MyMyelomaTeam Member built back his shoulder by taking Strontium instead of having radiation. Click on his name to read his story.

Vitamin D is important for bone health, which is significantly affected by myeloma. Myeloma can lead to bone pain, thinning bones, and broken bones. Studies have found that people with myeloma are often deficient in vitamin D, and this deficiency can lead to worse outcomes. However, while many studies show promising results, further clinical trials are needed to confirm the effectiveness of vitamin D supplements in slowing bone loss due to myeloma. Always consult your healthcare team before starting any supplementation.
