Here are some points regarding supplements and multiple myeloma based on the knowledge base:

- Consult Your Doctor: Always consult with your doctor before trying any supplement or herb, as they may have a negative impact on your cancer treatment.
- Green Tea Supplements: These can interfere with the effectiveness of Velcade (bortezomib), a drug used to treat multiple myeloma.
- St. John's Wort: This popular herbal supplement is known to reduce the effectiveness of Gleevec (imatinib), used for certain types of leukemia.
- Vitamin D and Calcium: These supplements can help build bone strength.
- Supplements for CIPN: Vitamin E, L-glutamine, goshajinkigan, and omega-3 supplements may lower the risk of developing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN).
- Ginger: This herbal supplement can decrease nausea from treatment.

Remember, dietary supplements do not have to be proven effective before they are marketed, and taking them in high doses or combining several types can lead to side effects. Always discuss with your healthcare team to create the best plan for your situation.
