I currently have Smouldering Myeloma and apart from anemia I don't have any symptoms.
I have been told that my next blood test is going to be important to check my hemoglobin levels.
I hope you are all having a good weekend take care of yourselves.

Yes staying on chemo drugs indefinitely is not good your body has to have chance to recoup when it’s been torn down so far with toxic chemo and as long as every 6 months you are being tested for any progression of multiple myeloma that is good.

My levels were low and my immune system has been very compromised. Pneumonia and COVID 5 weeks apart. Have added gamma globulin infusions to my regular treatments

Rather than supplementing with Akkermansia it’s suggested to drink pomegranate juice, cranberry juice and Concord grape juice no sugar added and no aspartame either. This will stimulate the body to produce its own natural Akkermansia.

Hi Toni, I just had an appointment with my Oncologist . My Hemoglobin, RBC, WBC are low. He told me yes they are below normal but my kidney function at this time is high normal. No calcium in blood test that are not normal. My creatinine and Bun tests are fine. He said when I am ready he will do a bone marrow biopsy. He considers me MGUS. Having MGUS: In almost all cases, multiple myeloma begins as a benign condition called monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS), which involves low levels of monoclonal proteins (M proteins).
We are monitoring every 3-4 months. Let’s face it there is no cure for multiple myeloma so why take medications for years unless you have significant health issues. Are you urinating ok, do you have a lot of colds or flu symtoms. I feel as long as you watching this on a continuous basis with your Doctor then I would feel comfortable.
I know that some people here might agree with this but this is what I am doing.
