Hi Christopher. I started Darzalex by IV infusion in October of 2017. It kept my numbers down until I could have a transplant in December of 2017. I took it with Pomalyst and dexamethasone. I started back on Darzalex 78 days post my transplant. I've been on Darzalex, with Pomalyst ever since. They let me drop the dex awhile back. I have high risk disease that was hard to knock down. So, I would have to say that Darzalex has been an excellent drug for me. I get it subcutaneous now, into my belly fat. Very convenient.

I’ve been getting fastpro dara for about 21 months since I relapsed (along with pomalyst ) and my mSpike is non detectable and labs are great. So I would say it does work. However , I must say that after the treatment , I do experience fatigue for 2 days and I am not my energetic self. Everyone is different, but that’s my experience. I hope that helps !

I was taking Dara for several years with Dexamethasone steroid and I was sick in bed for a week after my monthly treatment and just feeling crappy like really intense flu and really exhausted but other than that I felt good overall but the fatigue lessened but never went away completely. My Dr. tried cutting my infusion time from 3hrs. down to 2hrs. and I was really sick afterwards so I managed to convince her to go back to the 3hr. infusion and no problems after that. Sometimes you have to advocate for yourself because the Drs. aren’t always right. It did keep me in partial remission for a very long time so it works but the side effects can be rough sometimes.
