There are those where a SCT is Life Saving but Please, if you have a Very Good to Complete Response to Induction - Dana-Farber’s Dec 2023 Press Release Now Says - Keep Your SCT In Reserve.

They’re Now Acknowledging the SCT has long term consequences and should only be used if all else fails.

I have talked with two people where their Tandem SCTs were mandatory to save their life and it did help but these cases are rare in comparison to the masses that are told to get a SCT, even though they responded well to Induction.

I was lucky. I had my husband and niece with me. They could stay in my room overnight. Actually the food was pretty good.

You got to prepare for that what you need to bring along for the SCT treatment because it will take about two weeks you’re in the hospital perhaps l bring thing like l going on holiday with my suitcase 🧳 most important thing is your personal used like jacket, shocks you will feel very cold is in not on the outside your body but inside and have some food which you like to eat or drink because the hospital food is horrible to taste and it control your diet and bring along energy drink like 100 plus ,And the feeling you feel after the treatment is some kind of torture but you still got to face it don’t forget your personal hygiene.Good luck for those who will going for the treatment pray hard and it helps

The one thing that was recommended to me for port protect was Cling Wrap! You tear off enough to cover your port and surrounding skin and press it until it sticks. It really works, and you have an instant port shower cap! 🙂
