Has Anyone Also Been Diagnosed With Hyper Parathyroid Disease?
Thank you for the reply! Out of the blue, my PTH is 97 and my calcium has jumped from the nines to 10.4 in three months. Low vitamin D. I’ve had five kidney stones in the last two years, hence the test. This also explains my extreem fatigue, unusual lack of motivation, loss of appetite, and headaches.
I was referred to a general surgeon, but I am waiting for my trusted oncologist to return from out of town to give me some guidance. Pretty sure they will want to do surgery. There is a parathyroid specialist in Tampa. However, their website reads like an infomercial! My oncologist is the very best and so well informed! I will keep you posted.
Hi Suzanne, yes I have. My endocrinologist has been following my calcium for years and it fluctuates between normal and about 10.7. A CT was done about 6 years ago that did not locate an adenoma but that is their diagnosis. With my slightly worsened osteoporosis, she is wanting to reimage and discussing surgery.
