My oncologist had me take Acyclovir during my treatments,and prescribed an oral rinse that specifically addresses Thrush as it occurred. I had to lightly brush my tongue and rinse with Therabreth as a preventative always keeping my tongue free of buildups.

I sometimes rinse with warm salted water. Chlorhexadine mouthwash for when it’s really bad

for me I have super dry tongue when I wake up for 3days after my Valcade injection which I take for maintenance. I mean dry like I can’t swallow good for10 minutes after I drink something

My tongue hurts constantly , so bad I can hardly chew food and swallow, but I do. No one seems to think it is thrush. I also get these long white lesions on the sides of my tongue and inside my cheeks that swell up and come and go. I see my regular dentist and an oral surgeon that specializes with cancer. I have every rinse on the market! They do help temporarily.
