My Oncologist Is Suggesting I Seek Palliative Care. Have Any Of You Gone To Palliative Care? If So Did You Find It Helpful?
I have Palliative care and do not find it to be as helpful as I thought it would be. Mine is just one doctor and she only sees me every two months. I thought I would see her more often and she would help me with the problems I am having with medicines and mentally. I am disappointed with Palliative care.

Absolutely it helped. I need as much info his time. I went about a year ago and at that time I felt I didn’t need it, but things have progressed with MM so I am wanting all my care under one roof with my team.
I am sorry to hear about you but that your brother also got it and passed. You seem to have gotten the right help to get you through it. Which is a huge battle you won. Thank you for your advice and help. I truly appreciate it!
Yes, Palliative Care reached out to me as a resource when I first started my treatment for MM. And today, 8/15/24 sat in on my Oncology Dr's. visit. They can be helpful & understanding about how you are adjusting to treatment & suggestions & recommendations. They can be a patient sounding board for your frustrations. 👍🤗❤️
The same with the VA they came at us with hospice care and we both were taken by surprise a little but they meant it in the nicest way. I was working Full-time plus caring for him and wondering if he was taking his medications and blah blah so they also are there for Respite care.
