I Am 2.5 Years With Multiple Myeloma And Taking Monthly Darzalex Treatments. I Also Had A Mitral Heart Valve Replaced About A Year Ago.

My on-going problem is with stability and fatigue whenever I am standing up. I feel ok when sitting or lying down. It is not a dizzy sensation but rather I feel like I am going to tip or fall over any time I am standing up. My walking coordination is not normal.
I have had several neurological and heart scans without any logical results pointing to the cause of my symptoms. My medications have been adjusted to see if they are causing the problems.

Let me know when things get better, as we all want to live a normal life.

By the way, physical therapy is helping me. It could help you, if it’s something you could do. They don’t do anything I can’t do.

Do you have a cardiac walker? I’m wondering if it might help. Are you able to exercise, like doing balance exercises? I was taking a higher dose of heart meds and getting light headed, so the doctor lowered my dose. Some MM meds can cause these problems too.

HGloe, check your blood pressure and pulse when you stand up. Some of those symptoms are not easy to diagnose with a cause, so you have to be your own doctor. Next move would be to start an exercise program in a recumbent or siting position-with the approval of your doctor. Getting better could be a trial and error issue, but you may figure it out and get better......Ava
