I see Dr. Brandon Blue at Moffitt Cancer… I highly recommend Moffitt… they work as a team there & consult on your case. My transplant specialist was Dr. O’Choa. They work to make your treatment best for you.

I would highly recommend Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. I'm not sure how far that is from you.
We're 5 hours from the Mayo Clinic here in Minnesota and my treatment has been well worth the journey (even though we had a few trips during blizzards.)
The team at Mayo worked with our local oncologist so that I was able to receive chemo treatments at our local hospital. When I went through the stem cell transplant, it was all outpatient. We stayed at a transplant house in Rochester that was within walking distance of the clinic.
The care at Mayo has been phenomenal.
When our local oncologist sent me to Mayo in December 2022, for a referral because my test results were confusing, the oncologist at Mayo took one look at my test results and not only confirmed MM but also told me that my femurs were so badly damaged by MM that they could break at any point. I needed surgery to insert metal rods into my femurs as soon as possible.
It was late in the afternoon the Thursday before Christmas and a major snowstorm was blowing into town. She told me that she would find a surgeon that night. At 7 pm that evening, she called me from home and had already scheduled appointments for the next day for me to meet with the anesthesiologist, the surgeon, and others. Surgery was also already scheduled for two days after Christmas. In all my life I had never had a doctor who worked so hard for my care.
Mayo's motto, "The needs of the patient come first." is obvious in the care and treatment by all of the staff.

May God bless you in your fight.

I see Dr. Alsina at Moffitt in Tampa. she is a MM specialist. I also have a local hematology oncologist in Bradenton. I see Dr. Alsona every six months and my local every three. They coordinate my treatment plan which is wonderful. I have done this since my original diagnosis in 2019. Good luck to you
