When my docter tests for myeloma they do a deep dive test. They may also do a bonemarrow aspiration because it is the definitive test. The best i ever did was like 0.039. I believe i was also told it never reaches 0.0. Seven years ago i had a stem cell transplant with maintenance drugs to follow. In '23 my numbers started going up steadily. We went to full blown treatment. The numbers weren't alarming but climbing and not slowing. The decision was made to have a car-t therapy program at md anderson in houston. I mention Houston because they are so good at what they do.
Dont let the MM get ahead because it could start doing damage. make a decision on protocol change with your doctor sooner than later. Car-t is sppose to kill all MM cells and leave you cancer free.

My M-Spike was “00” for 2 years and I was in remission that long but last year my “ M-Spike started going up slowly that’s when my doctor switched my drugs. I was disappointed because last year was my best year in 4 years.

I think it would depend on the damage the myeloma has done

Mark I’m not sure if your pain would be totally eradicated. I’ve been told this disease doesn’t go away completely. Your country I think is advanced more than mine in mm studies. I wish you all the best with complete remission and to be totally pain free.

It should! If the pain is in the bone and caused by multiple myeloma. Once the cancer is eradicated the pain should subside.

When in doubt - take it out!
