Our practice has implemented a new policy: after cycle 3 of your treatment, you no longer need to continue premedications. You will no longer need to take Dexamethasone, Benadryl, Pepcid, or Tylenol before your treatments.

Yes I thought the dex is part of the treatment as it helps the other medications work

I no longer take Dexamethasone, Tylenol or Benadryl either. They were discontinued after cycle 4. I was told it could be different for participants based in their numbers and response to medications.. I am happy to be off of them.

Thank you everyone- I was a little shocked too because I’ve had about 19 cycles and have done fine. Thought premeds are part of the treatment plan, like we’ve all been told. I will have to ask more questions when I see them on 23rd for labs/doctor, my next Dara shot will be the 26th. I’ll keep you posted it what I find out.

I still take it. But don’t have to wait an hour for it to kick in before getting the injections
