AJ2,
They are trying to preserve your organs from damage. The medications are toxic not only to the cancer but healthy tissues also. A friend’s mom used Frankincense (DDR from do Terra) to help protect her healthy cells and it worked! It also kept her from feeling side effects. Keep this in mind when you start treatment. See if it works and let us know.

I am also smoldering. My kappa was 134.4 in March, I don’t go back again until September. I’m assuming that since my CBC was ok except for my white blood cell count they aren’t concerned. Frustrating! I will never be able to understand the watch and wait philosophy. My logical brain thinks do something before there is damage, it’s just not something I will ever understand…

Similarly, it was not as bad for me. . The sample was collected in one session and infussion was done in another session, a different day, without any issues. From what I understand, the science has significantly improved making it possible for a short collection session etc. The expected post procedure symptoms too were mild. I had two incidence of vomiting. The medical team was very supportive with close monitoring and addressing any issue that came up, I read too much about the procedure and was very worried, but I tolorated the procedure better than I expected. The family caregiver was a very helpful support. All that stated, I guess it's still normal to be scared, as it remains a serious procedure.

I was diagnosed with multiple myloma Aparil 2023. I am seven months post bone marrow transplant and my Keppa numbers are going up. My doctors don't seem to be worried because my kappa lamda ratio is normal. Apart from my CBC numbers that are creeping up, all other multiple myloma specific lab numbers are within normal range at this time.
