I HAVE MM IgA Light Chain. Does This Automatically Classify Me As "high Risk" And Does This Classification Automatically Include "M" Protein
I think these projections about our risk and prognosis are very often wrong. That's my opinion.
There used to be a breakdown of the IGG’s with A being more aggressive. However now they changed some of that due to better diagnostics in the genes. Wait till your Dr tells you you have specific high risk genes. 🙏🏼
The article above from Resources explains the risks with IgA MM.
Hi Karen,
I have IgA Kappa. I believe the risk is higher but there are other factors that make high risk. What makes me high risk is t14;16) with 16q deletion, Monosomy 13 and +5. +5 is actually a positive, not risky. I’m still Smoldering, but with these cytogenetics I will progress sooner than later.

My mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer and told to call Hospice. That just made her mad. Lol. After lots of treatment, one surgery, and eventually Hospice 6 months before her death, she died 9 years later. Not 6 or 9 months later. 9 years later. My mom’s faith in God was super strong. That’s what got her through.🌈✝️🙏🏻 May we all pass on when it’s our time and not someone else’s timeline.
