Lois,
MM is a complex cancer and needs a Specialist. Ask your doctor if they are. If they are not, ask for a referral to get a second opinion.

Vertebrae fractures especially in the lower back are the first and earliest signs myeloma may be lurking around. I ended up with 7 VCF before we got it under control. Took forever for the doctors to figure it out. Actually it was me deciding it was time to see a hematologist. It was myeloma, of course. Primary care doctor said I didn't need to see a hematologist. some doctors just don't get it.
