It would be a pleasure to keep you in the loop @A MyMyelomaTeam Member !!! Let us know what you are experiencing and we can all chime in !

Don’t forget. The side effects are known and means the drugs are working.

Listen to your body. I remember I was virtually in bed for 44 hours and didn’t know why. It was the Dex crash. Now I virtually have no effect from it.

Your doctor will ask if you have numbness or tingling in fingers or feet. Mine was so tiny I said no. I still say no. Your team is looking for debilitating problems and will take you off what’s causing it. But answer their questions honestly.

When I first started therapy a man next to me assured me I would be fine. He was so confident I was astounded. But he was right. And he’s been on maintenance for 10 years!

PS The Dara shot is in the belly. You probably have no belly fat like me so tell the nurse to go slow. The faster it’s injected the more it burns. I look forward to chemo day because it is enjoyable! I love the people!

Hey, it’s tomorrow morning!

1st treatment in the books yesterday. Went well, except rash and itching much like Mark’s picture above. Benadryl 25mg taken with 75% relief, then another 25 at bedtime. Everything is fine this morning.

Try to stay positive, it does help to keep you going. You are going to have good days and bad days. Be honest with your care team. Even if you think it's nothing. If something feels off, or not normal for you, tell them. This will sound silly, but I bring a stuffed rabbit to every treatment. It's a conversation piece and something I can clutch, or stroke when nervas.

I too am starting the same regimen today. Thank you for the question and the responses. Hoping and praying for best outcomes possible for all undergoing treatment.

I had all of those plus Velcade. That gives you neuropathy in feet and fingers. So don’t worry about that. I don’t think I had any problems with the Darzalex FasPro which I’m still on. The Dexamethasone will give you ups and downs which seem to be supercharged in the beginning. You will be “high” for two days then crash for one or two. Perfectly normal response. Then it seems to abate where now I feel very little effect except I snap at the wife. lol. Revlimid may give you diarrhea so have Immodium on hand. You may also get a rash so get Benedryl!

I’m on Eliquis to thin the blood and prevent clotting. Acyclovir to prevent shingles and Vitamin D (2000) to replenish what is lost.

Overall you should feel better every day after initial treatment and by the end of your 3 or 4 cycles you’ll be ringing the bell.

At that point your doctor may recommend an ASCT. More on that later.
