I Would Like To Know If Others Have Been Told Not To Consume Caffeinated Drinks.

When the doctor came in to see me after my SCT, I was drinking tea and he said no caffeine so I have been reduced to decaffeinated coffee and it’s killing me. I miss my cappuccinos. What are other people doing?

I think it’s important to keep our bones strong naturally, without taking bisphodphonates. Caffeine and carbonation removing calcium from the bones. MM already does it too. Larry2 healed a plasmacytoma quickly since he takes calcium supplements and strontium. If MM Specialists understood nutrition, we would all be doing better.

Doctors have never told my husband no caffeine. As a matter of fact we met with a dietician before starting treatment and she said because of what the chemo was going to do to his body he will lose his appetite, nausea, weight loss. So she said let him eat whatever he want. He never went through any of this. His appetite never left except for a few days in hospital after stem cell transplant. Some said no sugar. I’ve never changed his diet. Make sure he’s taking his vitamins. And his bloodwork is good every month. He’s never been down. But more than the treatments and meds. I attribute all to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. At the age of 80 this December 4th he is still going strong. If it weren’t for some pain he’d be great. I try to prepare a healthy diet. We don’t eat out much of course. We are 5 1/2 years in and he’s still doing fine considering. He cut his grass, do his honey dew list, stand in the pulpit and minister, and everything else.

My doctor says it's OK in moderation. One or 2 cups a day. But the majority of your liquid intake should be water.

There was one point in the induction phase where he was told no caffeine drinks. I remember buying him teas with no caffeine. Hope you are able to enjoy your cappuccinos again.
