When Someone Say You "don't Look Sick"
is this a stigma associated with Multiple myeloma?
Oh yes. When someone says, “Gee, you look great.” My usual response is, thank you I wish I felt as good as I look. On rare occasions I end up telling them that most of the compilations are internal.
I can relate to you. I always say I am doing good! but that is not the truth. I have extreme numbness foot to lips. Constint back ack, lack of energy, poor sleep. I guess other than that I feel good! ,
I have had that comment made to me many times. Kind of weird as I have a lot of back pain and fatigue. I generally avoid getting into how I feel and just say thank you.
thank you all for your comments. I thought there was an article that helped address that concern.. does anyone know or have a thought on that?
Agree with other replies. A Consultant even said well, you don’t look like you are in pain or have Cancer, even though I look as pale as a ghost.. But generally now just say I’m Ok thank you. It's so difficult., trying to be positive all the time.
I'm Finally Starting To Look Sick... But Have You Ever Had Someone Say To You Something Like This? "Well You Don't Look Sick"…
I Need Feedback. I Have A Relative Who Says I’m Using My Smoldering MM As An Excuse To Not Do Things Or Garner Sympathy.
