My initial treatment included Velcade and darzolex pro with revlimid. After SCT I’m in remission for now but as a high risk genetics patient my maintenance treatment is revlamid 15 mg and monthly darzolex pro. I get none of the bad side effects from the darzolex that I had my first 6 months of treatment. Intense nausia and vomiting, bad neuropathy and unbearable fatigue Now I have very minimal occasional issues but nothing like from the Velcade.

Hi Dawn, you will have to have a discussion with your doctor. Velcade works well on myeloma, but the neuropathy can be debilitating. 😥

I got Neuropathy from Velcade in 2012, I started talking vitamin B-12 and it is helping me better than Gabapentin.

I put detox for patches on my feet to draw out excess chemo if I notice leg or nerve problems
Drink lots of water even berry frost pedialyte helps eat apples

I stopped Velcade 1 month ago due to increasing neuropathy. Is Darzalex an alternative to Velcade? I will ask doctor about it , because I don’t want to diminish my cancer treatment if Velcade or alternative is necessary to get to remission.
