Has Anyone Else Felt That Walking Helps Reduce Back Pain?
My back has been sore / stiff but I forced myself to go for a walk around the block this morning and I believe it feels better.
I walk every day if I can. Sometimes a couple miles and sometimes a couple blocks. Getting out makes me feel good. I also go to the gym as often as my body will let me. Treadmill light weights and stretches. Get with your Dr but I think a body in motion stays in motion. Plus I enjoy the outdoors and walking along the Mississippi is a blessing
Exercise has been an important lifeline for me. Stretching, walking on a treadmill and strength training have all combined to make me feel closer to "normal" If you're having issues with being able to stand upright, look up stretches for the hip flexors, incredible strong muscles that shorten dramatically when our movements are decreased because of disease, hospitalization etc.
My husband has been having a lot of low back pain recently, the only thing that helps are walks. We do one long walk together in the morning & he does several short “around the block” walks in the afternoon . His Onc agreed it is good for him but not to overdo it
I feel better walking uphill, then downhill
Going today to get all of my immunization shots. Hopeful
