When Did You Get Approved For Handicap-cap Parking And What Kind Of Doctor Signed For It?

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Santa Ana, CA

My husband keeps asking me when my doctor will order a Handicap parking sticker. He’s tired of me complaining that he parks too far away. I barely have the energy to walk around the grocery store much less the parking lot.

It wasn't for the myeloma that I got the handicap parking but, it was more for my congestive heart failure and permanent AFib. My primary care Physician Assistant provided it for me although I'm sure either my oncologist or cardiologist would have as well.

I’ve had mine for years, ever since I was diagnosed with MM. It’s actually a prescription that gets turned in to the DMV here in Washington State. My oncologist signed off on it.

It is a DMV form that the MD must fill out. My internist signed off and I was able to get two (one for each car).

Georgean I recommend you get the tag for license plate and not worry about renewing placard every year
