What Defines Remission? Does It Require A Complete Absence Of M Proteins?

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bloomington, IN

I was diagnosed with MM in September 2022 after a four year old knee replacement became infected. I started a Velcade/Dexamethasome/Revlimid regimen immediately. Had a stem cell transplant in February 2023. Restarted treatment with the addition of Daratumamab in April 2023.

My M Proteins have continued to go down, but I don't know if they have to become undetectable before I'm considered in remission.

Thanks for your wisdom.
