Hi Esther, I had to go off Revlimid a few times for infections. They also had to lower my dose. Hoping you get well soon 😊

Hi Esther,
I went to a reduced dose of Revlimid from 15 mg to 5 mg for 3 months due to a drug interaction creating hives ,swelling and itching last year. I went off Revlimid for one month each time due to side effects of boils, gastrointestinal issues and insomnia in several separate instances. I did not see a significant change in my blood draw labs , M Spike and light chains. These reductions were one month only. While that was my experience that does not mean everyone will see the same results due to the differences in their Multiple Myeloma. I am in a complete response stage of remission ,and will remain on Revlimid until my Multiple Myeloma Specialist recommends otherwise. I always work with my healthcare team to make adjustments to stay on maintenance Revlimid. It can be tempting to discontinue Revlimid due to various episodes of side effects. I fight this chronic disease to extend my remission, and work hard to keep my Multiple Myeloma in control through diet , exercise or activity and some supplements. It is difficult to stay on course, but I stay on track now for over 4 years, no relapse.

Hi Esther! For both of my shoulder replacements I had to go off revilmid in order to prevent getting an infection. I was off of it a couple of months both times. And then, when I was better from the shovel their way placements, I just went back on revilmid. I hope your infection gets much better Esther! 🩷
