I don't think I have ever been in "remission" but I do think that my Onc team has achieved stabilization of the MM. Treatment is changed every time blood work "flares" until restabilized. This will have lasted four years in January.

I have never been a good transplant target due to many other issues but also have no M spike. I hope your deep remission becomes a "cure"! Best wishes!

Oh wow so you’re hanging in there. God bless you!! I just had my second transplant the end of August and I just found out I’m in deep remission. No m spike. I’m scared it’s going to come back quickly since I’m high risk.

For individuals with high-risk myeloma, the duration of remission can vary significantly based on several factors, including the specific gene changes in the myeloma cells. These high-risk cytogenetic features can impact how well the myeloma responds to treatment. It's essential to discuss your specific situation with your oncologist, who can provide a more personalized outlook based on your unique circumstances.
