Yes definitely call and ask questions why they keep changing appointment. Or find another oncologist who is experienced with multiple myeloma.

It sounds frustrating to have your hematology appointments rescheduled multiple times. Here are some steps you can take to manage this situation:

1. Contact the Hospital: Reach out to the hospital or clinic to understand why the appointments are being rescheduled. They may have valid reasons such as doctor availability or emergencies.

2. Prepare Your Questions: Keep a list of questions ready for your hematologist. This way, whenever your appointment happens, you won't forget to ask important questions.

3. Use a Calendar: Manage your appointments using a digital calendar or a paper planner. This will help you keep track of the new dates and avoid confusion.

4. Telehealth Option: If in-person visits are challenging, consider asking if a telehealth appointment is possible. According to my knowledge base, telehealth visits have become more common and are often covered by insurance.

5. Bring Support: If allowed, bring a family member or friend to your appointment to help you remember the information discussed.

Remember, it's important to stay organized and proactive in managing your health appointments.

I would look for another doctor, oncologist. You cant afford to go untreated because it becomes harder to get the cancer numbers down. If they are understaffed that's not good for you. Keep pushing

My doctor in Boca is obviously busy but has never broken and appointment is a nice suppot'rtive guy and when I can't get him directly I can always contact his very competent nurse practitioner.

Ask for explanation, maybe doc was out sick. However should give you an explanation. When first diagnosed 7/23 did not know anything, very confusing info and lab work. Have learned to be graciously direct with my oncologist, he has a lot of patients, so I try to come prepared with whats bugging me so not to over use his time. We are working well now together
