I met my oncologist and began treatment that week. As the specialist in Boston said, they like to hit it hard in the beginning. Mine was caught at stage 1 so I was greatful to be treated so quickly. Ponder that!

Hi Phyllis, tests and meds can be overwhelming. Let your oncologist know it’s coming at you too fast and how can things be planned out better. I’m sure if they are aware they will be able to help. You got this! 🤗

You say you are Smoldering. There is no treatment for Smoldering unless you are in a Clinical Trial. Is your Oncologist a MM Specialist? I found it makes all the difference in the world. Maybe it’s time you got a second opinion. A MM Oncologist Specialist can work with your local Oncologist. My first two Oncologists were not MM Specialists and could not answer my questions. I had started doing research on my type of MM and could see they did not know what they were talking about. They also messed up my. Ipsy and would not do another one. I finally found a MM Specialist Oncologist at UCLA who is very knowledgeable. There needs to be trust in your doctor. They have your life in their hands.
