Kathryn,
We are all learning. I Googled it. It is:
Multiple Myeloma is a blood cancer that develops in the plasma cells of the bone marrow.
Write it down on a card like i do.

One of my sisters keeps asking; " what cancer do you have, Kathy? I keep forgetting" In the beginning I explained in my own awkward way, what I have and tried to keep it simple but factual. They listen but they don't really hear it all......because they cannot empathize. My daughter had breast cancer before she started to understand.....does this make any sense? I get it, I get why they are not absorbing info. because I'm still learning myself.

Hi Dan, I was SMM for 3 years with no symptoms and had about 20% also. I became active after those 3 years. Hopefully you never become active. I think it is 50/50.
