Hello For Those Who Have Spine Pain What Do You Use For Relief I Have Pain From My Neck Down To My Lower Back With Tumors In My Lumbar
I highly recommend working with a pain management specialist. Hopefully your oncologist will refer it and your insurance will cover it. Long term pain has to be managed and how it is treated may change over time. Also remember, nobody should be in constant pain.
You should be referred to a Pain Management specialist. Palliative Care is helpful too. There are over the counter Lidocaine patches, it you may need something stronger like fentanyl patches. My mom had these. They are super tiny and help tremendously.

Lance has 6 compression fractures - being a special needs adult, there is a disconnect between the pain we would feel with them( terrible) and when he does tell us he is having pain....Remarkably, if we are home, he can do his usual activities he likes, as filling the bird feeders, doing his crafts, getting his own breakfast, etc. without any pain pill. If we go out or if he is sitting for a long time when we have company, he will have a hydropmorphone pill before we go - a long day and I will give him an xtra strength Tylenol as well...if we're home, he will usually only take the pain pill when it's bedtime...if it was my husband or myself, we would prob. be in extreme pain and doing little..he is a remarkable guy! Last month, the oncologist also had him start going to physiotherapy, to help his back, as he is a Special Olympic bowler and wants to keep bowling. She has given us some good exercises for him to do, saw her every week, now every 2 weeks and practises at home.
I have four compression fractures. Only one was real painful T5). I had khyphoplasty done on it an it completely alleviated the pain.
Thank you
