I'm just telling you about something that happened to my wife. This went on for 4 months. 2 Hospital stays, 4 doctors and a lot of unnecessary pain & discomfort. FINALLY one Dr. came in and actually laid (touched) hands on her. He had her Liver checked. All the Chemo, pain meds and drugs OR maybe it was just fate. She has Nonalcoholic Cirrhosis of the Liver. With you.... it could just be gas. However, it won't do you any harm to have your liver checked.

Bloating and gas can be uncomfortable, especially when dealing with multiple myeloma. Here are some tips from the knowledge base that might help:

- Dietary Changes: Eating foods rich in fiber, such as prunes, can help with constipation and bloating. However, be careful not to overdo it, as too much fiber can cause abdominal pain and diarrhea. Gradually increase your fiber intake with fruits, vegetables, beans, legumes, and whole grains.

- Gentle Exercises: Exercises like bicycle pedals can help accelerate bowel movement. Lie on your back, raise your knees to 90 degrees, and start “pedaling” in the air as if riding a bike.

- Massage: Abdominal massage can help relieve constipation by encouraging your stomach and bowels to move the solid waste more quickly. Place a hand firmly against the left side of your body by the rib cage and gently push down until you reach your hipbone.

- Talk to Your Doctor: If you’re considering self-medicating with over-the-counter laxatives, talk to your doctor first. They can help determine the best way to manage your symptoms based on your medical history and current condition.

If these tips don't help, or if your symptoms worsen, please consult your healthcare provider.
