Hi LadyT! Most hospitals allow you to open a "My Chart" or something similar that allows you to receive the results of your Lab tests, as they are taken; medical procedures; notes and summaries of your doctors' visits; keeps a record of dates of your upcoming & past appointments. Lab tests are kept by date taken which allows you to compare previous results, etc. The "My Chart" also allows you to send/receive messages from your medical team - between doctor's appointments. You'll get results of your Lab tests within a few days, sometimes before your doctor does, but sending messages by way of "My Chart" can reduce any anxiety caused by not understanding the results. You messages usually are answered by tele. call or doctor or medical staff answering your text. 🤗👍😊

This disease isn’t just about the body, it affects the mind too. Cancer is scary. Fear is difficult. Focus on the Lord. He is our help and salvation.✝️

If you have Medicare and a Supplemental policy, you can request all sorts of Tests, Consults and Imaging. They’re monitoring you for cancer. It’s all covered at no additional costs.

This past Sept, I had Treatment for a MM Bone Lesion near the top of my left arm bone. Since this was a second treatment, 15 months after I had stopped all MM Meds, I asked for full MM Labs weekly, in order to track that the new treatment meds were working - they did an excellent job, added to my recent conversion to a Plant Based diet and additional Supplements. The detailed Labs helped me prove the lesion was killed-off in a week and I was back to MRD Negative in 6 weeks.

Had I simply followed their advice, my outcome would’ve not had come together so quickly. By 3 months I had stopped all MM meds again, I continue to get full monthly Labs, quarterly blood sample clonoSEQ MRD testing (with no need for hip biopsies - BMB - ), and I request televisit Consults with Specialists, MRIs, etc, to monitor my progress without the need for a SCT or any treatment Meds.

It’s really important to learn about your Labs, treatment options and become actively involved with your treatment. It can be a complete game changer.

I’ve left a detailed roadmap at my Story @A MyMyelomaTeam Member.

Best wishes with your treatment

Hi Sally - Does Cure Hub automatically get this info for anyone with MM or is this something a person must sign-up for and allow access to their Medical Records.
If a person has to sign up, do they then provide a List of all of their Medical Practitioners for Cure Hub to reach out to for records ?

Who besides the Patient has access to the Cure Hub data about an individual ?
What is this info used for beyond the Patient ?
What sort of Consent does the Patient provide ?

Thanks

Awesome ….,Lady T My Chart is excellent. Try to make a journal with dates, medications and issues to match your My Chart results. Also make a List of questions and issues in your journal to discuss with your healthcare team. That is a start to getting organized. I hope this helps.
