Has Anyone Worked With The Block Cancer Center Of Chicago ?
They provide Integrative Cancer Treatment, the best of both Traditional Allopathic Cancer Treatment Meds and Naturopathic of Diet, Supplements, Exercise.
Curious to hear of anyone's experience with them.
Here's a Plant Based & Supplements Only Clinical Trial being conducted at Sloan Kettering to help MGUS and SMM from progressing. They provide free Plant Based Meals to the Participants and the Supplements they want people to be using.
In the US, there's around 13 million people of just MGUS. I expect that number is much larger when SMM is added. It's their hopes, they can help people resolve their early Stages of MGUS and SMM, before it becomes a medical issue that requires more drastic efforts.

I am looking into Holistic approach as well to treat SMM since no real treatment out there for us at this stage and I do not want to wait until it gets worse
I’ve recently talked at length with Sherry Appleman (Block Center Patient Advocate). Being that I currently have nothing wrong and my goal was to discuss my Report with Dr Block, the $1,000 it would cost (the portion not covered by insurance for their Consultations), wasn’t worth it for me now.
She did take the time to review my Report with me and did pass it on to Dr Block but he never reached out to know more.
Dr Block is a renowned Expert on Integrative Medicine, with an excellent understanding of Diet, Supplements, and Standard Chemo to help Treatments be more successful.
They will be an excellent resource to help you improve your Natural Killer Cells. They’ll have you do a day of gathering Saliva samples that map your Cortisol levels (high is bad), your Melatonin levels (low is bad), your DHAE levels (low is bad - Dex lowers DHAE, and low-and-behold, my daily Ritalin raises DHAE - I’m at 89ng with no need to supplement it), as well as test many other hormone levels.
Make sure they test your Natural Killer Cells (again if they feel enough time has passed) and your Omega 3/6.
Based on these results they’ll have you interview with their dietitian for a diet and supplements plan.
Please remind me (it’s hard to find old Posts on this Forum), what treatment did you have - SCT, collection of Stem Cells, Induction Meds and length of time, what’s your current MRD status, are you still taking any MM Meds, and anything else that you think that matters.
I’d very much like to see if they can help you and from your details, if there’s anything I can suggest for you to look into.
There’s an Audiobook about Glenn Sabin, who overcame his CLL, that was Diag around 25 years ago. Years into his journey, Dr Block got involved, helping him with Diet, Supplements and Guidance. Glenn was determined to recover without Treatment - it was a tough journey - he did succeed. They collaborated on his Book.
BTW, are you reading Dr Brandy’s Book, have you Consulted with him.
Dr Block has an EBook, Like Over Cancer with 28 references to Natural Killer Cells and Dr Brandy’s has 7.
I would love to do a clinical trial with food provided🥰
Hmm - I haven’t hear of them- interesting though . I have a MD and a ND.
