Where Do All Of You Mm Patients Get Your Information From? I’ve Never Heard Of Some Things Mentioned In Your Profiles....why?
Hi Janet,
https://www.myeloma.org/resource-library/patien...
https://healthtree.org/
When I was first diagnoised four years ago I went to Healthtree Foundation. They have have online modules that educate you about MM and your type of MM, so you can become a better informed patient. They have information about treatments, symptoms and clinical trials.
They offer a free support team of over 200 volunteer MM coaches you can choose from.
But most importantly they have a Cure Hub program where you can safely download your MM medical information and this information is used by researchers to help find a cure. Through this information you can find your twin and see what treatments they have been successful with.
My MM team is awesome and always take the time to answer my questions and being a curious person I do a lot of research too.
Thank you all who have answered my question and given me heaps of valuable sites and information. God bless.
Hi Janet,
Before my diagnosis, I started Googling what every blood test meant. I diagnosed myself before the Hematologist/Oncologist did. I didn’t limit my search to just one site, I looked everywhere. Back then I was just trying to understand this disease medically. Now I am trying to understand how to fight it nutritionally. This site has a Resources tab at the top, which is very helpful. The other patients on this site have lots of experience, so I have gotten information from them. I had to look at my emails to see most of them, and here they are:
