That’s my fear I’m also high risk but I guess any additional time is better!

I had Carvykti CAR-T last June. I did really well. Only one day of a slight 100.7 fever. I was tired and had loss of appetite, but still ate well. I had a couple of platelet and blood transfusions in the first month. Reached remission pretty quickly. It only lasted eight months for me though, but it was so wonderful not being on any maintenance meds. I felt human again! Lots of people stay in remission for 2-3 years. I am high risk Kappa IGA. When it came back, only my light chains increased. My IGA'S are still less than five. I'm presently on Talquetamab.

The only side effect I have had been diarrhea.
I am in a clinical study but I have only 3 rounds of it so far.
But it is working much better than my Stem cell transplant

- Side Effects: Nearly every participant in clinical trials experienced side effects. Common ones include infections, muscle aches, diarrhea, nausea, swelling, fever, cough, headache, and loss of appetite.
- Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS): This is a potentially severe reaction that can cause symptoms like fever, low blood pressure, and neurological effects such as seizures and tremors.
- Hospital Stay: After receiving CAR-T cell infusion, people often stay in the hospital for several weeks to monitor the treatment's effectiveness and manage side effects.
- Post-Treatment Monitoring: Even after discharge, staying close to the treatment center for a month or more is often necessary in case of complications.
