New Foot Pain Fm Neuropathy. Really Hurts
Used to just tingle and numb. Now terrible pain onset around big toes. Any ideas plz
Thanks for telling me about your experience I will give acupuncture a try.
I have been receiving Acupuncture for 4 months and I have noticed improvement . I feel that it is helping me . I no longer need a walker or a cane , as my balance has improved . The pain and numbness has lessened . My Acupuncturist is very optimistic and relates to me that the therapy may take a long time in an effort to repair the nerve damage that has been incurred . ( there is no way to know the extent of nerve damage that one person has received and we are dealing with a point in time when acupuncture treatment begins ) I know that Insurance companies will not cover Acupuncture treatment , but , I feel the expense will be worth it . I have talked to representatives from my insurance company to keep them informed about my neuropathy improvements and hope they will look to consider the alternative treatment for future coverage .
My wife has painful neuropathy doctor put on anti depressants to help ease the pain but had to keep upping the dose I have neuropathy which causes mostly weakness and numbness I was considering trying acupuncture
I take benfotimine to try and prevent neuropathy. I buy on Amazon.
Feather, I have been told that B vitamins help. Nutritional yeast has lots of B vitamins in it naturally. I like Bob’s Red Mill brand. My mom took 3-5 tablespoons a day and never got neuropathy. I have a little bit in my feet, but only take 1 tablespoon a day. You can take it with juice, on hot cereal or in milk. If you look at the article about diet in “Resources “, they mention it there.
