It's great that you're looking for ways to support your health post-transplant. Here are some key points from the knowledge base:

Diet and Nutrition:
- Plant-Based Diet: Many find a plant-based diet beneficial. Focus on eating more vegetables and ensuring you get enough protein.
- Ursolic Acid: Found in apples, basil, rosemary, and cranberries, it may help decrease tumor growth. However, taking supplements with these ingredients is not recommended without consulting your doctor.
- Cruciferous Vegetables: These contain compounds that may help fight cancer.

Supplements:
- Consult Your Doctor: Always discuss any supplements or major dietary changes with your doctor, as some can interfere with treatments. For example:
- Green Tea Supplements: Can interfere with Velcade (bortezomib).
- St. John's Wort: Can reduce the effectiveness of Gleevec (imatinib).

Clinical Trials:
- Types of Trials: Clinical trials may test new drugs, dosages, combinations, or delivery methods. They may also explore complementary practices like yoga or acupuncture.
- Participation: In trials, participants may receive either the new treatment or the standard treatment. Quality-of-life trials may focus on better controlling symptoms like nausea or fatigue.

Richard,
I found an article in “Resources” at the top of the page about supplements. They mentioned Vitamin E (which should be Complex d-beta, d-alpha, d-gamma, and a few other supplements. It’s worth it to look through the information they offer.

Richard,
I also take 1,000 mg of calcium (MRM Bone Maximizer III) with D3 & K2. It has made all the difference for bone pain and cramping.

There was a trial with Curcumin. Not only does it help with MM but it helps with pain and inflammation. I also like Nutritional Yeast. The B vitamins helped prevent neuropathy in my Mom. It also helped prevent weight loss.
