Hi Janine, I am relocating to Tampa on 22nd Feb from Cayman Islands. My son currently resides there, so my husband and I will start a new life there. I was advise to go to Moffitt by a doctor at Sylvester as I had been there for biopsy. I am now been in remission for a year, so I don't want to miss my scheduled meds and bloodwork to makes sure MM stays in remission longer.
I have compressed L5 vertebra and so have bad pain at times.
I read about Car-t therapy. Don't know much about it.
How long have u been diagnosed with MM?

Hi JD, I have been going up to Moffitt for at least a year now. I’m getting ready to have Car-T therapy from Moffitt. I live in Naples so it’s a 3 hour trip. My oncologist here in Naples works with Dr. Freeman at Moffitt. Do you live in the Tampa area?

I was diagnosed in January 2021. I’ve been on 4 different kinds of treatment and now going to do Car-T. So glad you are in remission! I’m hoping I’ll achieve that too! Medication and I do not get along like many of us. It’s the side effects that are hard to deal with. The swelling and the tiredness and many other things. That would be awesome if we run into each other at Moffitt. Everyone there is so very nice and caring. You will have to let me know which Dr there you will be seeing. I’ve seen a Dr Cruz and Dr Freeman.
