DRD Side Effects Sudden Onset

A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am on Darzalex, lenalidomide and dexamethasone. Have been since 31 July. I have felt minimal side effects up until now. Suddenly I feel very weak, hot and cold sweats, aches and pains. Common?

I found the longer you’re into the cycle of your meds, the side effects get stronger until your weekly break from them. But I wouldn’t rule out a cold or virus settling in at the moment. There’s a lot of nasty viruses circulating at this time. Also COVID, RSV and flu vaccines can have these side effects for a day or two.

Thanks for your answer! I am actually on the IV as I live in South Africa and we don’t have the injections here yet! Someone else said that it may be building up in my system, as it’s almost been 2 months of weekly treatments. Makes sense. Receiving treatment again tomorrow so will ask the nurses. Please pray for me. They will be taking blood tomorrow and the following week I will see the doctor who will then be able to assess whether I am responding or not 🙏🏻

It’s probably the Darzalex IV or DarzFasPro Shots. It’s a very power Med and very important depending on your MM Stage and percentage of bad plasma.

DarzFasPro can only be administered at one quantity. The Darzlex IV can be adjusted to match your body weight and to even less if needed due to reactions & complications. If needed even removed or delayed but that’s a discussion that you need to have with your Oncologist. If needed get a second opinion

I just started a new treatment for what’s been determined to be a different problem than 2 years ago. I was getting DarzFasPro plus Revlimid and Dex. After 2 DarzFasPro and their side effects, we decided to discontinue the DarzFasPro and only use Revlimid and Dex. My new issue turned out to not be a Relapse. I never lost my original Remission. Instead I have a single Plasmacytoma and the Revlimid and Dex are fixing it very quickly.

Check your blood pressure. My husband had to change his bp meds. Then he started feeling better.
